The Mechanic Supervisor will oversee and supervise all aspects of the general mechanic operation as well as assist with the supervision of HVAC as needed. The nature of this position regularly requires emergency response after hours with the Mechanic Supervisor being required to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day. Responsibilities will include maintaining, installing and repairing existing or new HVAC, electrical, door hardware, and plumbing equipment as well as general carpentry, painting and spackling.

  • Coordinate manpower and resources to support all special events,
  • Monitor and maintain staff coverage, ensuring appropriate staff levels at all times so all scheduled tasks are completed on time and to the required
  • Responsible for ensuring that HVAC records and logbooks are completed and up to
  • Maintain daily quality control inspections including but not limited to safety and egress issues.
  • Safe handling of pool chemicals such as chlorine and muriaic acid.
  • Checking and responding to email regarding work requests and assignments from the department managers and providing follow-up updates on the status of those requests.
  • Troubleshooting of HVAC equipment and electrical equipment.
  • Isolating water leaks and making repairs to piping and fittings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • High school graduate and/or formal education from an accredited technical school; f ormal education from an accredited technical school preferred.
  • 5 years of previous hands-on experience with previous supervisory experience preferred. Examples include replacement of 110V outlets, replacing sink faucets, lubricating bearings, replacing motor belts, etc.
  • Strong and effective leadership and communication skills
  • Individuals must have their own smart phone (a data plan is not required) to access 92NY applications via Wi-Fi, to be reachable during work hours, and to respond to emergencies outside of regular hours.
  • Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance and repairs: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, swimming pool operation, carpentry, dry wall.
  • Must be able to follow procedures and equipment installation manuals.
