The small engine mechanic is responsible for the maintenance of all landscape equipment and repairs. A mechanic who is knowledgeable in a wide range of small-displacement, low-powered internal combustion engines used for landscaping. The Small Engine Mechanic will assist our Landscaping team! We need someone who can work on small engines, mowers, weed eaters etc. Must have the ability to diagnose, repair and sharpen blades.

Requirements

Schedule: Part Time 20hrs M-F
Pay Rate: $20 -$30
Must have the ability to diagnose, repair and sharpen blades

Responsibilities

Accurately and efficiently diagnose and repair all systems and components of equipment used in commercial landscaping
Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed with customers
Perform routine engine maintenance, such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs
Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts
Adjust components according to specifications
Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts
Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs
Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used
