About The Position

We are seeking a dependable Mechanic to support fleet and equipment operations. This role issues vehicles to operators and creates daily reports, enters data into our fleet management system. Mechanics manage electronic and physical file systems for fleet vehicles and equipment. This position provides assistance to expedite and maintain vehicles and vehicle information, repairs and work orders and support fleet services staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency and excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum education level of High School Diploma or higher
• Current and Valid driver's license with 5+ years of driving experience
• Basic Microsoft Office
• Mechanical knowledge (CDL Mechanical aptitude preferred)
• Ability to read operating manuals and instructions and perform simple mathematical calculations
• Ability to file alphabetically and numerically
• Strong organization and multitasking skills to balance multiple service needs
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities and deal with people in a professional manner in all types of situations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, climb, reach, lift, and use hand tools
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
• Able to perform repetitive tasks (e.g., keyboarding)

Responsibilities

• Issue vehicles and complete daily reports
• Enter and maintain data in the fleet management system
• Manage electronic and physical vehicle and equipment records
• Assist with scheduling and tracking repairs and work orders
• Communicate with and listen to drivers to identify maintenance needs
• Support fleet staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality service
• Maintain organized files and basic reporting
• Perform other duties as assigned
