About The Position

The City of Bangor is announcing an opening for a Mechanic Operator. This position is responsible for proper operation, monitoring, maintenance and repair of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, pumping stations and other auxiliary facilities. Position includes, but is not limited to, the operation of de-gritting equipment, de-watering equipment, pumps, valves, and meters used in the treatment of wastewater. Preferred candidates will be familiar with the operation of a biological secondary-treatment wastewater facility. The pay for this full-time (40-hour weekly) position ranges from $25.42 to $34.14 per hour and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
