Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of experience with refurbishment / reconditioning on parts in a job shop or similar environment - REQUIRED
  • Knowledge of disassembly, assembly, machining and fabrication methods including MIG, SMAW & TIG welding practices
  • Knowledge of overhead crane, lift trucks and maintenance including hoisting and rigging techniques
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic & piping systems
  • Knowledge of electrical systems (wiring motors and small panels)
  • Knowledge in the use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read prints and drawings
  • Ability to follow step-by-step procedures with accuracy
  • Candidate must have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Education Requirements: Vocational or High School; Specialized Technical Training; or combination of training and experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical duties on equipment as instructed, in accordance with QA, health/safety and OSHA requirements and policies
  • Disassemble, assemble and test equipment at the direction of the Workshop Manager
  • Perform fabrication of lightweight apparatus and/or structures used in the maintenance of equipment
  • Interface with project management, engineers, technical personnel and other staff as needed to complete projects
  • Perform housekeeping and maintenance activities as required
  • Provide any additional support where needed
