About The Position

Responsible for the safe, efficient troubleshooting and maintenance of all electrical/mechanical plant and production equipment.

Requirements

• Troubleshoots and repair packaging, baking and processing equipment.
• Must be able to diagnose reasons for mechanical failures and know basic electricity principles.
• Provide basic maintenance services to building, including building structure.
• Repair pneumatic, mechanical drive and electrical components.
• Can safely operate shop equipment including: Hydraulic presses, Bridgeport, lathes, band saw, and hand operated power tools.
• Mig, tig and stick welding skills preferred.
• Operate Forklifts and Arial lifts.
• Understanding of plant utilities equipment including: Chillers, HVAC, Air Compressors.
• Food Processing experience preferred.
• Basic Electrical troubleshooting to include: fuses, motors, circuit breakers, plant lighting.
• Experience with CMMS or ERP systems preferred, SAP experience preferred.
• Basic Computing skills.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains all electrical and mechanical plant and production equipment, including motors, electrical/electronic controls and systems, PLCs, AC/DC drives, computerized controls, and other related equipment.
• Minimizes downtime by fast and accurate troubleshooting of PLC programs and electrical/electronic circuits and equipment.
• Performs preventive/predictive maintenance on plant and production electrical and electronic equipment.
• Performs general mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and installations as needed.
• Plans assigned work and is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of others in the area.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
