About The Position

Baker Hughes has an opening for a Mechanic/Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair equipment for Artificial Lift. Services at our facility in Claremore, OK. As a Mechanic/Industrial Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. You will also locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. The role involves removing defective parts, determining changes in dimensional requirements of parts, adjusting functional parts of devices, controlling downtime, fabricating repair parts, maintaining equipment inventories, providing mechanical maintenance information, preparing reports, maintaining technical knowledge, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years' experience.
• Some electrical experience on 3 PH 480 and single PH 120v.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Preventative Maintenance.
• Experience with Pneumatic and Hydraulic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand tools.
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools.
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
• Fabricates repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions.
