As a Mechanic III with HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance repairs of facility(s), preventive maintenance of all life and non-life safety equipment, operations and repairs of the power plant, and grounds. You will have thorough working and troubleshooting ability for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building automation systems.

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC equipment, exhaust systems, building automation systems on the hospital campus.
  • Plan, coordinate, and provide hands-on skills for minor alterations and construction not requiring city or state permits.
  • Perform or manage comprehensive ground repairs.
  • Perform testing and operation of Emergency Power system (Generator testing).
  • Perform testing of fire pump.
  • Assist Plant Director with Fire alarm/sprinkler testing schedules and repairs.
  • 3 years previous experience in healthcare maintenance setting or 5 years in a commercial building.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, building automation systems, and customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Emergency Generators and fire code.
  • Technical school required without previous experience.
