Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of equipment and machinery to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions. Essential Job Functions Applies related knowledge to resolve basic operating problems (some examples below) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor. Typical actions include testing and/or modifying operational machinery and control equipment; repairing various vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; performing mechanical calibrations and alignments; and assembling and testing motor-control devices, sprockets, bearings, and vacuum pumps, and air valves. Repairs and preforms general mechanical work on multiple production systems in and around the facility. Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment. Accurately completes daily maintenance reports. Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste. Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
