Position Summary: We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Mechanic/fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance and repair of machinery and vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw materials into finished products through precise cutting, shaping, and assembling processes. To succeed in this role, you should be physically and mentally fit and have a solid knowledge of basic mechanic's tools, service, and diagnostic equipment. Our ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • High School or GED, required.
  • Certification from a vocational school or trade school preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 months' working experience as a Mechanic.
  • Must have your own tools.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, CDL is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components
  • Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers)
  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
  • A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
  • A problem-solving ability
  • Good physical strength and stamina
  • Integrity and ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from a vocational school or trade school preferred.
  • CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles.
  • Identify the root cause issue and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Build and assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
  • Examine machines, engines, transmissions, etc., and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
  • Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades.
  • Operate various fabrication equipment, including welding machines, cutting tools, and hand tools.
  • Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
  • Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
  • Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g., repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles, etc.)
  • Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
  • Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
  • Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users.
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
