Skills, Abilities Required: Working knowledge of the operating principles of internal combustion engines. Ability to acquire skill in the performance of increasingly complex duties relating to the repair and maintenance of heavy truck/bus equipment. Ability to learn the uses and operation of various machines commonly found in a maintenance repair shop. Working knowledge of the methods of adjusting and repairing the electrical wiring and generating systems of buses. Ability to determine the cause of and the methods to be used in the repair of improperly operating equipment. Physical strength and agility sufficient to move relatively heavy objects and to perform manual labor for considerable periods. Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally , and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Meet physical fitness requirements as outlined by Federal and State CDL/School Bus licensing requirements. Physical demand requirements are for Heavy Work Education, Training, Tools High school diploma or equivalent Required: Commercial Drivers License (CDL Preferred) Hand tools, storage device significant to complete assigned work tasks. Term of Employment: 12 months Probationary Periods: Initial employment 90 days CDL "B" with applicable endorsements (P, S, T) 90 days
