About The Position

The Mechanic Helper is an entry level position. It plays a vital role in keeping our fleet at the highest level of cleanliness and functionality. This enables us to maintain a positive work environment for our drivers. We have plenty of advancement opportunities for employees who demonstrate good attendance and a good work ethic. We provide on the job training that is beneficial in facilitating growth in our employees. We’re looking for candidates that have had previous experience working around Tire or Maintenance Shops. Our maintenance facility is a 24/7 operation. This full-time opportunity is part of Hobby Lobby’s Transportation department at our corporate offices in Oklahoma City. Work Schedule: 4 – 10 Hour days per week. Must be willing to work nights and weekends. Days off may not be consecutive. Current Shifts Available: (Subject to change as positions fill) 1st Shift - (5:30am to 4:00pm) - $21.15 2nd Shift - (4:00pm to 2:30am) - $21.90 3rd Shift - (7:00pm to 5:30am) - $22.40 Pay Rates: (Rates will vary depending upon shifts available) All certifications are considered a Plus! Requirements

• Previous experience working in an automotive or truck repair shop environment
• Must have a valid driver’s license

• All certifications are considered a Plus!

Responsibilities

• Fuel trucks and perform a visual inspection
• Wash all Hobby Lobby equipment which includes pulling trailers through wash bay
• Performing tire replacement and tire repair
• Inspecting and painting equipment, cleaning of work area and cleanliness of main truck shop
• Assist drivers with cleanliness of all equipment and moving equipment to and from parking stalls.
• General tire repair knowledge
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
