About The Position

Power-Flo Technologies, headquartered in New Hyde Park, is seeking a Mechanic Helper to join our Pump and Motor Repair Team. What You'll Do: Assist mechanics with cleaning, painting, testing, and disassembling AC/DC motors & pumps. Clean parts Maintain the tool areas Help troubleshoot & repair pumps, motors, and fans in-shop and on-site. Use power tools, hand tools, and a multimeter for repairs. Requirements

  • Mechanical/technical skills & experience with hand/power tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical & mechanical systems.
  • Basic PC knowledge & strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license (clean for 7 years).
  • Stand for up to 8 hours, lift 50 lbs, and work on ladders/platforms.
  • Exposure to dust, loud noise, and temperature changes.
  • This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching
  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery
