The GSE Mechanic will work closely with the Operations Manager and Line Service Department to provide safe, mechanically sound GSE equipment and facilities. Essential Functions Comply with and ensure accountability for Company policies and procedures related to GSE standards, safety, and security procedures. Establish, implement, and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for site’s fleet of ground service equipment and fuel farm. Perform repairs on downed equipment. Maintain stock of necessary parts and fluids in accordance with the PMS and consistent with guidance from the Operations Manager and General Manager Ensure a culture that promotes first class customer service and safety through daily observations, shift briefings, routine audits, usage of Baldwin SMS, monthly service/safety meetings, training, and documented service/safety procedures. Ability to operate a multitude of aircraft ground support equipment (ie: Tug, tow bars, GPU, air start, floor machine, belt loader, LAV cart, forklift) Must have a strong commitment to results Must possess computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Customer service experience FBO/Aviation experience Forklift experience preferred Reports to: Operations Manager Supervisory Responsibility: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. FLSA Status: This position is nonexempt. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration; chemicals including aviation fuels, oils, and lavatory fluid. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Travel: This position requires minimal travel. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform frequent walking, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and grasping actions. May be required to work nights and weekends. Requirements

  • Requires three (3) years of experience including maintenance of FBO equipment.
  • Ability to operate a multitude of aircraft ground support equipment (ie: Tug, tow bars, GPU, air start, floor machine, belt loader, LAV cart, forklift)
  • Must have a strong commitment to results
  • Must possess computer knowledge in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience
  • FBO/Aviation experience
  • Forklift experience preferred
