About The Position

To maintain and direct all maintenance activities, ensuring that all hatchery equipment is operating safely and at peak efficiency. The role includes maintaining and monitoring a parts inventory that is economical and within budgeted costs, responsible for general maintenance of equipment and buildings, conducting plant safety audits, coordinating and complying with plant preventative maintenance programs, completing special projects as needed, performing electrical troubleshooting, A/C and/or electronics, and providing hatchery relief labor under emergency situations.

Requirements

• Must be able to monitor and direct maintenance personnel to complete job requests safely and timely.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to move 100 pounds.
• Must have strong welding skills.
• Must have good electrical knowledge.
• 4 – 6 years experience in the hatcheries preferred.
• Must maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Pallet jack and forklift training.
• Respirator training.
