About The Position

To maintain and direct all maintenance activities, ensuring that all hatchery equipment is operating safely and at peak efficiency. Maintain and monitor a parts inventory that is economical and within budgeted costs. Responsible for general maintenance of equipment and buildings. Maintains a parts inventory, to include ordering and receiving of the same. Conducts plant safety audits. Coordinates and complies with plant preventative maintenance programs. Completes special projects as needed. Does electrical troubleshooting, A/C and/or electronics. Provides hatchery relief labor under emergency situation.

Requirements

• Ability to monitor and direct maintenance personnel to complete job requests safely and timely.
• Ability to control a parts inventory in a cost-effective manner.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to move 100 pounds.
• Strong welding skills.
• Good electrical knowledge.
• 4 – 6 years experience in hatcheries preferred.
• Acceptable DMV record.
• Pallet jack and forklift training.
• Respirator training.
