About The Position

The Diesel Mechanic II performs skilled maintenance and repairs on Class 8 diesel tractors, trailers, and material handling equipment. You'll handle advanced diagnostics, maintain service records, and help ensure our fleet remains DOT-compliant and road-ready.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of diesel mechanic experience
• Knowledge of Class 8 vehicle systems and components
• Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

• Technical school certification or ASE credentials
• Welding, trailer repair, or forklift maintenance experience
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced DC environment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and braking systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
• Maintain service logs and repair documentation
• Operate tools and diagnostic equipment safely

• Starting Pay - $30.50/Hour
• Plus Shift Differential
