Mechanic/CDL Driver

About The Position

Burgess Civil LLC is looking for a dependable Mechanic/CDL Class A Driver to join our team. Must have knowledge of construction and practical experience with tools. A good understanding of safety procedures, willingness to learn and be flexible. Positive attitude and great interpersonal skills. Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a drug test.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (Type A)
Current Tankers and Hazmat Endorsement
Strong understanding of route driving and navigation skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to lift 50 or more pounds and ability to lift, carry, bend, crawl, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, and crouch and able to stand for long period of time
Perform physically demanding work.
Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments including heat, cold, dust, mud, and noise.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts if needed.
Self-motivated, with own tools
Minimum 5 years’ mechanic experience
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and timely equipment repairs
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, and after-treatment systems (DEF, DPF, SCR).
Complete scheduled PM services and identify equipment deficiencies before failures occur.
Communicate effectively with equipment operators and supervisors regarding repair needs and equipment performance.
Follow all company safety guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations.
Complete service reports and maintain a clean, organized workspace
