About The Position

Mechanic C Transdev in San Diego, CA is seeking an C-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining alternative fuel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a C-level Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. Transdev is proud to offer: Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: $36.25/ hr Addition of $0.25/ hr for each primary ASE certification obtained. Addition of $0.15/ hr for each secondary ASE certification obtained. Benefits include: Vacation : up to 14 days per year Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full-time employees/ 5 hrs monthly part- time employees; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays. Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as a Mechanic.
• Valid CDL license or willingness to obtain CDL license.
• Mechanic’s Tool Set
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
• DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Other duties as required.
