Repairs, installs, and performs preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure that such equipment is always in good operable condition. Uses electrical and mechanical expertise to trouble shoot, repair, install and perform preventive and interactive maintenance on all production equipment accessories to ensure that all equipment is always in good operable condition. Install, operates, maintains, checks, and trouble-shoots all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment. Install, trouble-shoot, and repair solid state and electronic equipment as well as mechanical equipment. Uses safe working practices and always reports/repairs any hazard conditions. Inspects machines, takes any required test, and completed “all” reports and paperwork as required. Perform PM and repair work in accordance with A.I.B. standards. Diagnoses and employs proper procedure of troubleshooting to determine when parts need replacement and when repairs are necessary. Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles gearboxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pump, valve, and mechanical equipment when directed. Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles electrical motors, relays, timers, and allied electrical equipment. Installs and repairs electrical conduit, cables, piping, tubing, controls, and grounding as directed. Operates mobile lift truck and hoisting in the performance of maintenance work. Possess knowledge of simple rigging when necessary for equipment moving and relocation. Help maintain spare parts inventory for plant. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent preferred. 2 years of industrial maintenance/electrical experience required. Food/beverage processing or packaging environment preferred.
