About The Position

The Mechanic B L1-2 position in Facilities Operation & Maintenance requires a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in building trades. Key skills include the ability to read schematic and engineering prints, and proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, and painting. The role involves significant physical demands, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, at high elevations, and in outdoor weather conditions, as well as extensive walking, standing, lifting, and bending. Candidates must be medically cleared to wear a respirator and possess a valid driver's license. Successful candidates are expected to qualify and advance through career path training to Mechanic A and may be assigned to various locations within the CECONY regions.
