About The Position

Transdev in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Level 2 Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. Location: 405 North 79th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85043 Transdev is proud to offer: CBA Position: Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: Starting pay $28.61 with progression to $30.04 over 4 months. ASE $0. 25 per cert $0.30 additional for master ASE Master ASE total $2.30 above hourly rate Benefits include: Vacation: up to 80 hours a year Paid Sick Leave: 40 hours. Medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays. Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
  • ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided
  • Mechanic’s Tool Set
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues.
  • Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
  • Other duties as required.
