About The Position

The Mechanic Assistant position involves supporting the lead mechanic in diagnosing and repairing automotive issues. The role requires hands-on work with various engine components and mechanical systems, ensuring that vehicles are maintained and repaired to high standards. The position is full-time, with a structured schedule that includes first shift hours and the possibility of overtime.

Requirements

• Automotive experience
• Ability to perform mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Familiarity with service manuals and diagnostic tools
• Willingness to undergo a 9 panel drug test
• Background check required

Responsibilities

• Assist lead mechanic in detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components
• Check parts for wear and defects
• Repair and replace worn and defective parts
• Reassemble mechanical components and refer to service manuals as needed
• Perform other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the lead mechanic
