About The Position

The Maintenance Apprentice will receive on-the-job training on performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and will assist with minor repairs to ensure proper performance and safety of company vehicles. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred)
  • Basic hand tools (and willingness to obtain additional tools as needed)
  • Basic knowledge of tools used in vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to follow schedules, instructions, and maintenance guidelines
  • Strong work ethic with integrity and reliability
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter who works well independently and in a team
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and reports
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Perform entry-level repairs and preventive maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups, filter replacements, tire rotations, and minor adjustments
  • Conduct tire inspections, removals, and replacements
  • Complete required repair documentation, track parts usage, and account for repair times
  • Perform vehicle safety inspections and report equipment concerns or deterioration
  • Assist experienced mechanics with repairs and special projects as assigned
  • Fuel and wash company vehicles
  • Maintain shop equipment and tools in safe operating condition
  • Keep the shop clean and organized in compliance with Company and OSHA standards
  • Assist with inventory management and reporting in the M5 maintenance system
  • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery following established safety procedures
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
