Amentum is seeking a Mechanic, AGE (Aerospace Ground Equipment) to provide support for a position located at Tyndall AFB, FL. Responsibilities Performs depot level repairs to systems associated with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on powered/non-powered Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) and sub-components as required System maintenance may include: cleaning, servicing, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, adjusting, rigging, operational checks, overhaul, modifications and treats for corrosion on powered/non-powered AGE, accessories and sub-components All maintenance performed with appropriate Air Force technical data, manufacturers’ maintenance manuals Uses and maintains applicable shop support equipment; may be required to perform repairs on equipment to include disassembly, repair and re-assembly in accordance with technical data. Reads and interprets technical orders, manufacturers’ manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components, including ordering of correct parts Provides technical data for completion of AFTO Form 22s, QDRs, MDRs, etc. and recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures Performs In Process Inspections (IPI), signs condition tags Maintains maintenance records and enters maintenance actions in equipment forms and/or Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) Provides technical guidance and training to lesser qualified employees. Performs maintenance and other duties, related tasks within their classifications as assigned by Supervisor Performs off aircraft wheel and tire maintenance to include breakdown and buildup for aircraft wheels with appropriate Air Force technical data and guidance.
