About The Position

Description Detailed Description: Ensures compliance with workplace safety, environmental standards, national codes, NexTier, and client policies and regulations. Demonstrates proper driving techniques for applicable DOT vehicles. Obtains required certifications and licenses. Learns and operates basic auxiliary equipment involved in maintenance operations. Maintains a consistent focus on service, quality, and safety. Reads diagrams and schematics to follow work procedures. Operates hoists and lift devices to position machinery safely. Performs routine maintenance and non-routine repairs on company assets. Lubricates, services, diagnoses, repairs, assembles, and maintains vehicles and equipment. Stays updated on changes to industry standards. Ensures completed work passes safety inspections. Verifies that equipment is DOT compliant following repairs. Performs additional duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot components. Proficiency in reading and writing English. Understanding and application of basic diagnostic principles. Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as safety manuals, operation instructions, and policies/procedures. Ability to write reports and simple correspondence, and effectively communicate with coworkers, customers, and management. Capability to work independently or within a team environment. Adaptability to changing work conditions. Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn. Commitment to promoting safety awareness and adhering to policies and procedures related to quality, health, safety, and the environment. Language Comprehension: Must understand and speak English at a level sufficient to issue, receive, and respond to both safety and operations-related directions. Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma, GED, or applicable experience. Experience: 0-1 years of field experience. Valid Driver’s License: Required Additional Details: The Mechanic plays a foundational role in maintaining equipment safety and reliability while gaining experience and knowledge in maintenance operations.
