Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • A level 10 mechanic should consistently perform above expectations. The individual should possess analytical thinking and ability to make decisions in equipment repairs. A level 10 is expected to perform his / her duties to high standards in the areas of safety and timeliness and would be expected to share their knowledge with others.
  • Knowledge of power wiring
  • Knowledge of Control Systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing/packaging processes or related field
  • Mathematically inclined
  • Knowledge of general computer applications: Excel, MS Word
  • Technically and mechanically inclined within production units
  • Communicates effectively with directors, managers, supervisors, operators, outside visitors and peers

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred
  • Certificate in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Installation of production and manufacturing equipment.
  • Changeover and Setup the packaging/production equipment and documenting.
  • Maintenance of machinery
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical problems.
  • Effectively communicate with directors, managers, supervisors, other mechanics and outside vendors.
  • Organize and maintain tooling/change parts of equipment.
  • Perform all responsibilities with good safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Improve the performance and efficiency of the packaging/production machines.
  • Lead a team to provide mechanical/electrical support to a project with minimal direction.
  • Lead a team of mechanics to schedule and perform preventive maintenance on the packaging and processing equipment and documenting.
  • Maintain a good record of preventive maintenance performed on the machines and resolve the frequently occurring problems.
  • Follow all site GMP policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Implementation and follow up of 5S, BOSS and Safety Inspections in order to constantly improve.
  • Process owner of H&S Guidelines chapter 1 to 5 and 7 to 12.
  • Ensure that the equipment used in the Unit is in line with H&S Guidelines or local legislation.
