About The Position

The position involves inspecting, reporting malfunctions, and making minor repairs to equipment and physical facilities. The individual is expected to demonstrate Huntsville Hospital’s mission, vision, and values as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the Power of Excellence.

Requirements

• Education: HS/GED required. Technical training in a health care environment on equipment and utilities preferred.
• Experience: One year experience or comparable combination of education and experience in maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of safety codes.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to maintain records.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of equipment/spaces/buildings/grounds.
• Completion of work orders, PM’s and other records.
• Building component installation/maintenance/repair.
• Accept and complete additional duties as assigned.
• Respond to fire and other emergencies.
• Participates in helping with all department activities as needed.
• Picks up materials when needed.
