About The Position
As a Meat Wrapper at Fred Meyer, you will play a crucial role in preparing and displaying meat items for sale, ensuring that all products meet the company's high standards and policies. Your responsibilities will include waiting on customers and providing exceptional customer service, embodying the company's leadership behaviors and core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. This position is part-time and requires a willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed. You will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about food and dedicated to creating amazing experiences for customers. In this role, you will be responsible for checking product quality to ensure that all meat items are fresh and safe for sale. You will also be tasked with keeping sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized, as well as maintaining proper inventory levels and freshness in display cases. Your ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow associates will be essential, as you will be greeting customers, assisting them in finding products, and ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, you will be required to operate various job tools, including automatic wrappers, slicers, grinders, and power saws, while adhering to safety protocols when working with chemically based cleaning solutions. Your role will also involve washing and sanitizing equipment in accordance with company and health department policies, ensuring that all work areas and equipment are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Overall, your contributions will help to uphold the company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
