About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Analysis and planning of members meat operations. Initial and follow-up training of meat managers on standards. Coordinate a profitable merchandising program for each new and remodeled members meat department as requested. Monitor competitive market areas. Complete all required communications (written or verbal). Monitor agreed upon merchandising and production objectives with AWG retailers. Establish and monitor a retailer timetable for all store openings. Reading all essential documentation. Comprehending all verbal and written communication. Performing all physical tasks pertaining to Meat operations (bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, driving, sitting for extended periods in a car, etc.). IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS: Monitor potential sales opportunities, outbuying, inventory control and quality control of AWG retailers. Coordinate all in-store efforts with those AWG associates important to success. This contributes to a "team" effort, it effects cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with management, members and peers. Coordinate with superiors, members and peers additional training and development. Constantly evaluate his/her activities and steps to improve in areas for greater results. Perform related functions as required. Communicate effectively with the stores to create impulse phone purchases.

Requirements

  • Any combination of education, training and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • General meat background, to include meat cutting, merchandising, and P&L training.
  • Good oral communication skills, good written communication skills.
  • Computer skills to include Google Drive and email, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing; read, understand, and communicate manuals and written instructions; perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Analyze data and develop action plans.
  • Build sales plans and merchandising programs.
  • A retail background in meat, or the equivalent training.
  • Perform bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting, and reaching from a floor level to six feet in height.
  • Periods of sitting in an automobile in travel to members stores distances up to 300 miles.
