About The Position

As a Meat & Seafood Clerk, you’ll be hands-on with fresh proteins—preparing, packaging, and displaying meat and seafood products to meet high standards of quality and food safety. You’ll maintain a clean and organized department, assist with inventory and restocking, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers, whether it’s helping them find the perfect cut or offering cooking tips. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and doesn’t mind getting their hands a little messy. Requirements

  • Product Knowledge: Understanding meat and seafood types, freshness indicators, and safe handling practices
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to assist customers with product selection and provide helpful cooking or preparation tips
  • Food Safety Awareness: Familiarity with sanitation standards and procedures for handling raw products
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain clean displays, monitor product quality, and follow packaging guidelines
  • Physical Capability: Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs. and working in refrigerated environments
  • Team Collaboration: Willingness to support fellow associates and contribute to a positive store culture
  • Multitasking & Efficiency: Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy
