About The Position

The Meat Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while working in the meat department. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures is required.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to perform related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude towards customer interaction.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Capable of standing for up to 4 hours continuously and a total of 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift/carry products weighing between 25 to 90 lbs.
• Good vision for using sharp knives and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service in the meat department.
• Practice safe food handling procedures and maintain product knowledge.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload and transport meat products from delivery trucks.
• Count and weigh items, comparing results against invoices.
• Examine meats in storage and rotate products to avoid aging.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders, maintaining a positive work environment.
• Follow the 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
