Requirements

  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive grasping, bending, and reaching.
  • Capable of moving or lifting an average of 30-50 pounds.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, such as working in coolers.
  • Ability to follow recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, carving, and serviing food items which may include meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food products.
  • Manage and perform stock counts, date, rotate, and temperature checks of products.
  • Like food. Bonus if Tex-Mex is your favorite.
  • Guest focused mentality—like, seriously, we LOVE our guests!
  • Friendly personality and can role model that to other team Members.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with Managers, Team
  • Enjoy jumping in and helping out where needed.
  • Are passionate about being involved in your community and helping it prosper.
  • Well organized and self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

  • While not required, previous kitchen experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and HACCP standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and portion food items with precision, ensuring all ingredients are ready for service.
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of products to guarantee freshness.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes.
  • Handle slicers, knives, and other kitchen utensils and equipment with care to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Adapt to the needs of the kitchen, shifting tasks as necessary to keep operations running smoothly.
