Responsibilities

• Perform general product preparation, clean-up, and stock work in the Meat department.
• Provide customer service and maintain good relations with customers and associates.
• Cut, grind, slice, prepare, process, trim, tenderize, seal, package, wrap, bag, price, prefabricate, date, label, scale, merchandise, and sell meat products according to company policies.
• Keep department temperature logs accurately updated and maintained.
• Stock and display meat items safely and in accordance with company standards.
• Check product quality and ensure proper rotation and freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in sales areas, backrooms, and coolers.
• Unload trucks, sort orders, and place products in proper cooler locations.
• Wash and sanitize equipment according to company and health department policies.
• Increase store sales and profits in conjunction with retail operations and marketing programs.
