About The Position

The Meat Helper position at Food City involves ensuring efficient and courteous customer service in support of the company's mission to 'Run the Best Store in Town.' The role requires maintaining a positive attitude and creating a friendly atmosphere through teamwork. Responsibilities include greeting customers, providing prompt service, ensuring products are properly packaged, following food safety protocols, assisting in stocking and organizing products, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. The Meat Helper is also responsible for ensuring correct pricing and code dates on products, as well as attending on-site work during scheduled shifts.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times.
• Maintain a positive attitude and create a friendly atmosphere.
• Greet and speak to customers, providing prompt and efficient service.
• Ensure products for self-service are properly packaged with correct weights and ingredients.
• Follow the company's Food Safety program.
• Assist in stocking and proper rotation of products.
• Assist in organizing cooler arrangement and rotation of product.
• Assist in light cutting work.
• Assist in receiving and ordering all processed meats.
• Maintain correct pricing of all processed meats.
• Maintain neat and clean appearance of all display cases.
• Maintain good code dates on all products in display cases.
• Ensure packaged products for self-service are in proper packaging with correct weights and measures.
• Keep workstation and surrounding area neat and clean.
• Sanitize and clean the department at least twice a day.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.
