About The Position

As a Meat Helper at Food City, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and courteous customer service, supporting the company's mission to 'Run the Best Store in Town.' Your responsibilities will include maintaining a positive attitude and creating an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. You will greet and speak to customers, providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service. Additionally, you will ensure that products for self-service are properly packaged with correct weights and ingredients, follow the company's Food Safety program, assist in stocking and organizing products, and maintain the cleanliness of display cases and workstations. You will also be responsible for receiving and ordering processed meats, maintaining correct pricing, and ensuring good code dates on all products in display cases. The department must be sanitized and cleaned at least twice a day, and you will be expected to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to interact with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times.
• Maintain a positive attitude and create a friendly atmosphere through teamwork.
• Greet and speak to customers, providing prompt and efficient service.
• Ensure products for self-service are properly packaged with correct weights and ingredients.
• Follow the company Food Safety program.
• Assist in stocking and proper rotation of products.
• Organize cooler arrangement and rotation of product.
• Assist in light cutting work.
• Assist in receiving and ordering all processed meats.
• Maintain correct pricing of all processed meats.
• Keep display cases neat and clean.
• Maintain good code dates on all products in display cases.
• Ensure packaged products for self-service meet weights and measures regulations.
• Keep workstation and surrounding area neat and clean.
• Sanitize and clean the department at least twice a day.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.
