About The Position

The Meat Helper position at Food City involves ensuring efficient and courteous customer service in support of the company's mission to 'Run the Best Store in Town.' The role requires maintaining a positive attitude and creating an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. Responsibilities include greeting and speaking to customers, providing prompt and efficient service, ensuring products for self-service are properly packaged, following the company's Food Safety program, assisting in stocking and organizing products, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. The Meat Helper is also responsible for ensuring correct pricing and good code dates on all products in display cases, as well as keeping the workstation neat and clean. The department must be sanitized and cleaned at least twice a day, and attendance during scheduled shifts is mandatory to adhere to company policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to interact with various levels of individuals daily.
• Ability to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service.
• Maintain a positive attitude and create a friendly atmosphere.
• Greet and speak to customers, providing prompt service.
• Ensure products for self-service are properly packaged.
• Follow the company's Food Safety program.
• Assist in stocking and proper rotation of products.
• Organize cooler arrangement and rotation of product.
• Assist in light cutting work.
• Assist in receiving and ordering all processed meats.
• Maintain correct pricing of all processed meats.
• Keep display cases neat and clean.
• Ensure good code dates on all products in display cases.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and surrounding area.
• Sanitize and clean the department at least twice a day.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.
