About The Position

Food City is seeking a Meat Helper to ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to 'Run the Best Store in Town.' The Meat Helper will maintain a positive attitude and create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. This role involves greeting and speaking to customers, providing prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service, and ensuring products for self-service are in proper packages with correct weights and ingredients. The Meat Helper will also follow the company Food Safety program, assist in stocking and proper rotation of products, organize cooler arrangements, and maintain the cleanliness of display cases and workstations. Additionally, the Meat Helper will assist in light cutting work, receiving/ordering processed meats, and maintaining correct pricing and good code dates on all products.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to interact with various levels of individuals daily.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service.
• Maintain a positive attitude and create a friendly atmosphere.
• Greet and speak to customers, providing prompt service.
• Ensure products for self-service are properly packaged.
• Follow the company Food Safety program.
• Assist in stocking and rotating products.
• Organize cooler arrangements and product rotation.
• Assist in light cutting work.
• Assist in receiving and ordering processed meats.
• Maintain correct pricing of processed meats.
• Keep display cases neat and clean.
• Ensure good code dates on all products.
• Sanitize and clean the department at least twice a day.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.
