Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the assigned area of meat employees.
• Provide training to meat cutters in the overall operation of the meat department.
• Deliver superior customer service.
• Maintain sanitation control according to company policy.
• Operate meat department equipment such as wrapping machines, power jacks, and knives.
• Stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Perform basic math skills for inventory and sales tracking.
• Remove outdated or damaged product from meat cases.
• Fill in meat cases when required.
• Control department expenses by meeting budgeted goals and controlling shrinkage.
• Identify areas for improvement in the meat department and implement changes.
