About The Position

This position is responsible for cutting, trimming, boning, tying, and grinding meats to portion and prepare meat in cooking form.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Two-three years related experience and/or training
  • Must have the ability of using cutting utensils and running an electric pallet jack or forklift
  • Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Cutting, trimming, and boning carcass sections or prime cuts to reduce to cooking cuts such as roasts, steaks, chops, stew cubes, and grinding meat
  • Cutting and weighing steaks and chops for individual servings
  • Shaping and tying roasts
  • Recording quantity of meat received and issued to cutters
  • Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs
