Walt Churchill’s Market is looking for a Full-Time Meat Cutter at our Perrysburg, OH location. Job Summary: The Meat Cutter reports to the Meat Department Manager and is responsible for finely and precisely cutting our high-quality meats. The Meat Cutter provides excellent customer service and caters to customers’ requests and preferences, ensuring a customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Ability to communicate clearly
Comfortable working with the public and greeting, speaking with, and assisting customers
Attention to detail, ensuring duties are completed correctly and on time
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma/GED
1+ years meat cutting experience required

Nice To Haves

Portion cutting experience, preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare various meats and meat products, keeping the Meat case fresh and full
Cut, weigh, wrap, and price product
Follow a cut list, control waste, and rotate product
Take customer orders and/or special requests; fulfill requests, meeting WCM standards
Assist with general Meat Department tasks, including but not limited to: assisting customers at the Meat counter, preparing burgers and marinades, and stocking product
Safely and effectively operate equipment such as slicers, saws, grinders, and knives
Maintain advanced Meat product knowledge
Maintain general sanitation practices, food safety practices, and food storage practices within store and health department standards
