About The Position

Meat Cutters are reliable , energetic, team driven individual who are ready to work in a fast paced environment. They must be detail orientated and able to multitask and complete assignments, while providing excellent customer service. In this role, you break down beef, pork, poultry, and other meat products into various cuts before weighing out portions to sell. You also help prepare specialty items, such as sausages and cured meats. You must follow all refrigeration safety and manufacturing sanitation. As a meat cutter, you may also provide customers with advice about proper cooking techniques.

Requirements

  • Knife Skills
  • Knowledge about various cuts of meat and processing.
  • Proficiency with cutting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, math, and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity.
  • Adherence to food safety and sanitation regulation
  • 3 years meat cutting experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, and address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner
  • Arrives to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts
  • Attention to detail, strong work ethic and ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency
  • Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment and complies with all health and safety procedures
  • Strong communication skills, works well with others in team environment
  • Breaks down beef, pork, poultry, or other meat products into various cuts
  • Wraps, weighs, and labels product
  • Prepare specialty items such as sausages and cured meats
  • Maintains merchandise by properly prepping, storing, rotating, and displaying product
  • Assist with unloading trucks and breaking down and stocking merchandise
  • Determine and eliminates products that do not pass quality standards
  • Safely uses, cleans, and sanitizes all equipment following the guidelines provided
  • Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation
  • Performs other duties as assigned by store or team leadership
