About The Position
The Meat Cutter/Butcher position at Food City involves the cutting and merchandising of all fresh meat. Responsibilities include assisting in ordering, receiving, and displaying all products, grinding and slicing meat, organizing cooler arrangements, and stocking the cooler. The role also requires maintaining neat and clean display cases, ensuring good code dates on all products, and keeping the work station tidy. The department must be sanitized and disinfected twice a day, and providing efficient and courteous service to customers is essential. Additionally, the position involves assisting in enforcing and maintaining the company HACCP program.
