About The Position

The Meat Gourmet Culinary Assistant mixes and prepares the full range of gourmet meat items according to established standards and recipes. Team members work safely and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards to provide customers with the highest quality gourmet products.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Entry level position; no experience
• Safely use/operate knives, hand chopper, mixer, cube steak machine and meat wrapper
• Basic computer skills
• Great customer service
• Good oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Mix and prepare all gourmet meat products using established recipes
• Examine cases and prepare production plan based on item priority , being mindful of high sales volume products
• Maintain, fill and rotate products for quality, freshness, and proper dates
• Gather necessary ingredients based on determined production needs, being mindful of seasonal items
• Wrap and label product
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and responding to questions
• Ensure work area is clean and ingredients are put away at end of shift
• Adhere to all health, sanitation and safety regulations
• Assist in other duties, as assigned
• Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude, ensuring that each customer feels welcome and appreciated.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store, offering assistance and support where needed.
• Improve and maintain the efficiency of the store in order to reach success.
• Be a positive ambassador for the store, representing our S.T.E.W. values in all interactions with customers and team members. You are the biggest WOW!
