As a Meat Clerk, you will be at the center of helping guests find high-quality cuts for various meals, from weekend grill-outs to weeknight dinners. This role involves answering questions, recommending cuts, and ensuring the meat cases are consistently full, fresh, and ready for guests. You will provide top-notch service at the meat and seafood counter, restock and rotate products on the sales floor, and help keep the department running smoothly. You will play a key role in fulfilling special orders and maintaining food safety standards, contributing to a department that guests trust and return to again and again.

Requirements

Ability to effectively engage with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates.
Utilize strong written and verbal skills to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment.
A willingness to learn food safety standards, proper equipment usage (like slicers), and inventory practices.
Ability to Multitask and stay customer service focused in a busy retail grocery environment.
An understanding of safety and food safety practices and a commitment to following them.
Proper training and knowledge of equipment and procedures, including: slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, etc.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional guest service at the meat counter and on the sales floor, including fulfilling special orders and answering product questions.
Maintain fresh, well-stocked displays by inspecting, rotating, and replenishing meat products and supplies.
Ensure regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and provide adequate notice for occasional absences.
Perform other duties as assigned.
