About The Position

At Coborn’s, our Meat department is all about quality, expertise, and helping guests feel confident in what they’re bringing home. As a Meat Clerk, you’ll play a hands-on role in preparing fresh, high-quality meat products while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service. Whether you’re cutting to order, building beautiful displays, or helping a guest choose the perfect cut, your work helps create a shopping experience guests trust. Responsibilities

  • Cut, trim, wrap, and prepare meat products according to departmental standards and guest requests.
  • Safely operate meat department equipment such as saws, slicers, grinders, and wrapping machines.
  • Ensure all products are handled, stored, and displayed to maintain freshness and visual appeal.
  • Assist with specialty items such as sausages or smokehouse products, when applicable and with guidance.
  • Keep equipment, work surfaces, cases, and storage areas clean, sanitized, and well maintained.
  • Monitor inventory levels to keep cases full while minimizing waste.
  • Rotate product, maintain accurate pricing, and remove out-of-code items.
  • Support strong merchandising by keeping cases neat, full, and visually appealing.
  • Maintain clean, organized aisles, backrooms, and work areas.
  • Deliver remarkable guest service by greeting guests, sharing product knowledge, and offering helpful recommendations.
  • Address guest questions or concerns promptly and involve leadership when needed.
