Meat Clerk (Part-Time)
About The Position
We are looking for a reliable Meat Clerk to join our team and help maintain a clean, well-organized, and fully stocked meat department. In this role, you will be responsible for cutting, packaging, and labeling meat products, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards. You will assist customers with their meat selections, provide product recommendations, and maintain a clean and sanitary workspace. As a key member of our team, you will help ensure that our customers have a positive shopping experience by offering great service and ensuring the department is always ready for the next day. Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older due to age-related work restrictions
- Basic knowledge of meat cuts, food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate meat cutting and packaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and store polices
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must have visual and hearing acuity
- Consistently perform repetitive tasks
- Cutting and slicing meat
- Dexterity and Hand-Eye coordination
- Ability to use hands and fingers to reach, lift and carry 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to speak to, hear, and understand others via phone and in person in English
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in meat cutting, food handling or retail is a plus
