Cardenas Markets is seeking a retail store Meat Clerk to join our team. The Meat Clerk is responsible for washing, inspecting, and rotating all meat products, along with ensuring displays are stocked with new merchandise and ensuring expirations are up to date. The Meat Clerk must possess strong teamwork and customer service skills.
Requirements
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Must be friendly and people oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Prior food preparer experience at a grocery store preferred
Responsibilities
- Work professionally as part of the team and provide excellent customer service
- Verify prices, hang current sales signs, and removes out-of-date sales signs
- Order and inventory required meats, seafood, and poultry
- Sell products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions
- Ensure neat appearance of department and meat displays
- Comply with sanitation and health guidelines
