About The Position

Join our Fiesta Mart Store Operations Team as a Meat Clerk - 007 Houston-Bellaire/Hillcroft! As part of the Chedraui USA group of companies, our mission is to provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience with the freshest selection available across all our retail banners, and our people are at the heart of what we do. The Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful customer service, assists customers, cleans shelves, and displays cases. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write in Spanish and English.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with their needs.
• Clean shelves and display cases.
• Fill and rotate the Meat Wrap displays.
• Work with customers to take special orders.
• Collaborate with the Meat Cutter to determine which items need to be cut.
