About The Position

The Meat Butcher provides Westborn Market customers with fresh and high quality meat products on a daily basis. This position will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing various cuts of meat for sale. Ability to work between stores is a plus!

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong knowledge of meat cuts and cutting techniques
• Strong attention to detail and safety

Responsibilities

• Cuts, trims, and prepares various cuts of meat
• Ensures that meat products are of high quality, properly labeled, and displayed attractively
• Assists with helping guests fulfill orders at the service counter when needed
• Provides excellent customer service and assists with customer orders and inquiries
• Keeps the meat case and self-serve cooler sufficiently stocked and rotated
• Works with various kitchen equipment and tools such as knives, grinders, rotisseries, etc.
• Assists with keeping track of and ordering supplies as necessary
• Communicates with management to meet production needs and targets
• Maintains a clean and hazard free workspace by following and maintaining proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy
